Ahi Packs a Health Punch

Nobody wants to eat a meal that doesn’t taste good, and so that is why we are here to talk about some of the options that you have at your disposal for what you can eat for dinner. Now, lately we have talked about the environment that we are proud to offer here at Cool Hand Luke’s, but tonight we want to focus a little bit more on one of our favorite menu items here and it is our ahi appetizer plate.

This tasty appetizer is a plate that is good enough reason to make the trip alone to go out for dinner, and it’s just an appetizer plate. Don’t tell that to the ahi, though, because he packs a punch on more than one front.

First, on the health front. Ahi is famous for providing several different nutrients that are necessary for good health. Among those include protein and selenium. Ahi comes loaded with protein, in fact a 6-oz serving offers a whopping 41.5 grams of protein, which is 90% of the daily need for women and 74% for men. And if that isn’t enough, ahi provides selenium as well to help facilitate muscle tissue growth as well as maintaining proper blood vessel function. It also has Vitamin D, phosphorus, potassium, Vitamin B-12 and other nutrients.
